Banteay Chhmar Temple
The temple was built between 12th and 13th centuries during the reign of King, Jar Varman VII. It is located at Thmar Puok District, along the National Road No 69A. It is about 59 kilimeters north of Sisophon City.
In the past, the temple is damaged because of war and thieves have stolen statues and the temple stone for selling them to Thailand.
At Present, Ban Teay Chhmar temple is the main tourist attractive site of the province in luring foreign tourists to visit.
Phnom Bak And Phnom Chenh
Phnom Bak and Phnom Chenh Chiang are the natural and cultural resorts which are located Se Rey Sa Phoan District, along the National Road No 5. It is 5kilometers far from Sisophon City.
There is a large well, 10 squar meters and 12 meters deep at the foot of the mountain. Some stone statues are sculptured there.
Laang Phnom Touch
Laang Phnom Touch is the natural and cultural resort which is located at Se Rey Sa Phoan District, along the National Road No.5. It is about 28 kilometers south of Sisophon City.
From the top of mountain, you will have a spectacular view of the natural forests and a pagoda on the mountain side. On festival days, locals usually go here for their vacations.
Ang Trapeang Thmor
Ang Trapeang Thmor is about 100km from Siem Reap City. It is a unique wetland ecosystem giving home to over 200 bird species including the endangered Sarus Crane. Last year, there are more than 300 Sarus Crane which is recorded in Ang Trapeang Thmor.
There are 18 of the existing species which are being listed as globally or near globally threatened. The project in Ang Trapeang Thmor tries to help preventing the birds from disappearing and human hunting. The best time of seeing the Sarus Crane is from February to May.
