Ta Tai Waterfall
Ta Tai (Ta Eysei waterfall) waterfall is located in Ta Tai village, Ta Tai commune, Smach Meanchey district, Koh Kong. It is about 20 kilometers east of Khemarak Phoumin city.
The waterfall has two stages. The first stage is 5 to 6 meters high and 12 to 15 meters high of second stage. Ta Tai is one of the most well known waterfalls in Koh Kong. The infrastructure was built in Ta tai waterfall, to attract local and foreign tourists.
The water fall also have another name is Ta Eysei waterfall. According to a local legend, a man named Ta Tai and his son went to the waterfall to fish. There was a storm and the resulting floods carried away Ta Tai’s son. Few days later, however, the boy was found at the waterfall. When Ta Tai asked his son, the boy said: “A man took me to a secret place, then he turned into a vampire and wanted to kill me. Suddenly, a Ta Eysei (a hermit) appeared to save me and took me back”. Ta Tai and his wife knew that their son was saved by Ta Eysei. Ever since then, waterfall was called Ta Eysei Waterfall or Ta Tai Waterfall.
Koh Sdech Island
Koh Sdech is located in Kirisakor district, Koh Kong. It is about 81 kilometers south of Khemarak Phoumin city. It is 1.5 km off the coast of Botum Sakor national park.
Koh Sdech features a long beach, and the sea is filled with a variety of fish. The island is excellent for snorkeling or scuba diving, as the water is clear, and an array of coral can be seen growing at the bottom of the sea.
There is a legend about the island, there once was a king and his army arrive island. Because there was no fresh water on ship, they searched everywhere to find some. At last he found a rock near the sea. The king drew his sword and split open the rock, releasing an endless flow of water that local people still use today.
Khun Chhang Khun Phen Island
Khun Chhang Khun Phen Island is a rock in the middle of the sea tributary. It is about 1 kilometer from the city. On the island, here is a 4 meters high stupa which made of concrete. At a time, there is only 10 to 15 visitors could visit island, because it is small-only 40 square meters.
On national holidays and traditional festivals, local people often come to visit and pray at the pagoda.
Kbal Chhay Prek Koh Waterfall
The Kbal Chhay Prek Koh Waterfall is one of the favorite tourist attractions in Koh Kong. The waterfall is a perfect picnic spot. You can watch the spectacular scenic views of waterfall. Your child will have a wonderful time in here.
Kbal Chhay Prek Koh waterfall is located in the Neng Kok Village, Bakclong Commune, Mundol Seyma District, Koh Kong. It is just 22 km from the city center of Khemarak Phoumin. You can hire a car and go to picnic with your family or friend.
