The property was a green haven and one got the feeling of being inside a rain forest.
There was serenity and peace all around and the staff were very helpful and courteous.
The only meal we had was breakfast which was sumptuous and good.
However, the rooms, especially the bathrooms needed a bit more attention. They were not very convenient practically.
The shower and hot water were wanting. The water just collected in the bathing area and one was left standing ankle deep in the soapy water ,one had just showered in.

A little more attention to detail would make this property a great place to be in.

    “green haven”

We stayed 2 nights with our 9 year old daughter. we liked: it was a quiet place, close to the city, the rooms were big and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. we didn't like: The breakfast was poor and could be really improved. The beds were super hard. The place looks a bit abandoned but we still enjoyed it.

    “nice place”

Quiet and relaxing. Beautiful spacious rooms with bath and shower. Beautifully kept and clean. Great service with a simple restaurant and bar. Peaceful place to chill out. The staff can arrange all your local tours and Tuk Tuk & boat trips. About 1km to
town center or $1 dollar Tuk Tuk ride. We enjoyed our stay.

    “Relaxing place to stay”

You would think that if you have seen one "Bungalows-Villa," which are all throughout Asia, you have seen them all. They do have the same setup: a hidden entrance followed by forest-like greenery (thanks to the abundance of rainwater), and then your room appears like a deja vu with the only difference being whether it is closer to the swimming pool, a lagoon, or just more trees and greenery.

The bedrooms are simple with a colorful design. The beds are comfortable, and covered by a mosquito net. But, I don’t like their air conditioning units which blast away towards the beds and leave you with a dry throat when you wake up in the morning. The swimming pool is relatively small, but does have enough length to do some laps.

The positive difference, however, is in the service, the human touch at the Sanctuary Resort. Rotha and his wife Jom are there around the clock. They're friendly and remember your name, know your breakfast preferences, cook your special omelet, and add freshly cut fruit. The kitchen is small and offers only simple snacks, so plan to have your meals in the center of town about 10 minutes walk away.

Thank you to Rotha and Jom for a wonderful stay!

    “A "one-couple show!"”

The silence was pleasant, the room was big and comfortable. The shower was hot, big and clean.
The staff was friendly and very helpful for any request.
Mosquito nets were provided and the tuk tuk (at 1$) to go downtown as it' s a bit outside town.
The pool was surrounded by lots of green, it looked big and nice but needed a bit of cleaning.
Overall it was a good stay!
